Set up your automaker account and any remote-access plan your car needs before connecting it to BetterKey.
BetterKey uses your car’s existing connected services to send remote commands. Select the market where your car was sold and its make to see the service it typically uses.

Service names and plans can vary by market, model, and model year.
Set up your connected service for your car
Enroll in your connected service, add your car in the automaker app, then send a remote lock or unlock command there. If the command works, return to BetterKey to connect your car.
Check whether your model and model year require for remote lock and unlock before subscribing.

Set up in five steps
- Open your automaker app and create or sign in to your automaker account.
- Add your vehicle and complete any ownership verification.
- Turn on remote lock and unlock, including if required.
- Send a remote lock or unlock command in your automaker app to confirm it works.
- Return to BetterKey and follow Add Your Car.
